I will be forever grateful to Diarmuid and Paula for introducing me to Doolin. It’s a special place for them and as soon as I arrived I could see why, it’s off-kilter and beautiful and real, it isn’t completely unknown to tourists but yet it doesn’t feel touristy. It helped that we had the most stunning day; crisp and sunny with enough of a breeze to make the photos down on the seafront dramatic. Diarmuid and Paula had a laid back and personal approach to everything on the day from pints in Gus O’Connor’s pub after the ceremony to muppet teddies as table centerpieces. I knew I was onto a good thing when the bride told me to make sure I got photos of the donkeys 😀
